We could have built six small pools. We built one good one instead — where the day begins and ends at Horizon.
Twelve metres of it, tucked out of the island wind, looking clear over the bay — you swim facing the open Aegean, the archipelago spread across the horizon, Delos and Mykonos among them.
Mornings
Coffee, and a quiet swim
The early hours belong to whoever is up first — a coffee on the terrace, a lap or two before the heat, the island still waking below.
The pool itself
Four by twelve, and room to spare
Set at one end of the row of houses, four metres by twelve and up to 1.50 m deep — made for laps and long floats. Daybeds run along one side, loungers and parasols along the other, with comfortable room for three houses' worth of guests at any one time.
Evenings
A drink as the sun drops
Later, the pool belongs to the grown-ups — a drink in hand on the daybeds as the sun slips behind the hills, the water turning gold and then to dusk. The one place all six houses share.

What "shared" actually means
How shared is shared?
Six houses share the pool — at full occupancy that's a handful of families, and in practice you'll rarely see more than a few people at the water at once. It has never felt like a hotel pool, and we intend to keep it that way.
What about children?
Afternoons are family hours; early mornings and evenings tend to be quiet. There's no lifeguard — children swim with their parents.
Do I need to claim a lounger at dawn?
No. There are loungers, parasols and shade for every house, and towels are provided — the 7 a.m. towel ritual is not a thing here.
When is the pool open?
Through the whole season, from early morning until late evening. We ask for quiet after midnight — sound carries on the hillside.
